

TSC SERIES OVERVIEW

The products included in the RH-TSC directory fall into two
main categories; Coaxial loudspeaker systems that essentially
have been replaced by CoEntrant models and early model CE
Series CoEntrant models that have been superceded by newer
models.

Coaxial models include the C-2 and SR-4.  The CoEntrant CE-3T
and CE-3TMH/CE-3TLO are higher performance replacements for
the C-2.  Suggested substitutes for the SR-4 include the
Complex Conic SR-5 and TRC121.

Superceded CoEntrant models fall into several categories. 
Medium format MH modules, such as the CEMH64-1, were replaced
by the TRAP Series True Array MH modules; high power full
range cabinets were replaced by either new models, such as the
CE-153 Series or with updated model. For example, the CEMH64-2B 
which replaced the CEMH64-2. 

In other cases, new Complex Conic loudspeakers act as
replacements.  The medium format CEFR Series cabinets, for
example, were replaced by the TRC Series in many applications.

These loudspeakers are included in the EASE database primarily
for reference purposes and to facilitate the expansion and/or
replacement of existing installations. They are not
recommended for new projects.


MODEL C-2 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a coaxial 3-way active system,
Renkus-Heinz Model C-2 or approved equal.  Non-coaxial, 2-way
or passive loudspeaker systems will not be considered as
equal.

The loudspeaker system shall consist of a 10" cone driven
mid frequency horn, a coaxially mounted 2" constant
beamwidth high frequency horn having dual 1" extended range
drivers and a  phase coherent adapter, and dual horn loaded
15" woofers in a 7th order bandpass design. It shall provide 
55  horizontal by  35  vertical coverage; high frequency
power handling shall be 200 w @ 8 ohms, mids 300 w @ 8 ohms
and lows 600 w @ 4 ohms.  Sensitivity shall be no less than
108 dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of at least 131
dB and a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 KHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from 13 ply birch, heavily braced and lined with fiberglass
to suppress resonances. The finish shall be (black paint)
(natural) (weather resistant).  Connectors shall be (8-pin
Neutrik) (blank plate for customer supplied connectors).

The loudspeaker shall be no larger than 48.75"  high and
23.75" wide, be no deeper than 31.5", and weigh no more than
230 Lbs.  A matching perforated metal grille backed with
protective foam shall be included. The enclosure shall be
equipped with handles [and 3 factory installed aircraft type
pan ring fittings with steel backing plates on the (top)
(bottom) (top and bottom) and include steel angle iron
enclosure reinforcement]  [and side mounted Aeroquip track
fittings].

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz Model X310-TSC or
approved equal.  The controller shall provide fixed
crossover points at 190 Hz and 1600 Hz, signal alignment,
response equalization and protection from overload damage.



MODEL SR-4 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a coaxial 2-way active system,
Renkus-Heinz Model SR-4 or approved equal.  Non-coaxial or
passive loudspeaker systems will not be considered as an equal
under these specifications.

The loudspeaker system shall consist of a 12" cone driven
low/ mid frequency horn having a coaxially mounted 2"
constant beamwidth high frequency horn with dual 1" extended
range drivers and a  phase coherent adapter. It shall
provide  80  horizontal by  50  vertical coverage; high
frequency power handling shall be 200 w @ 8 ohms,  low/mid 
200 w @ 8 ohms.  Sensitivity shall be no less than 106 dB @
1w,1m with a  maximum continuous SPL of at least 130 dB and
a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from 13 ply birch, heavily braced and lined with fiberglass
to suppress resonances. 

The finish shall be (black paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).  Connectors shall be (4-pin Neutrik) (blank plate
for customer supplied connectors).  The loudspeaker shall be
no larger than 24.5"  high and 19" wide, be no deeper than
17.75", and weigh no more than 76 Lbs.  A matching perforated
metal grille backed with protective foam shall be included. 
The enclosure shall be equipped with handles [and 3 factory
installed aircraft type pan ring fittings with steel backing
plates on the (top) (bottom) (top and bottom) and include
steel angle iron enclosure reinforcement]  [ant top and side
mounted Aeroquip track fittings].

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz Model (X-12) (X24) or
approved equal.  The controller shall provide a fixed 2000
Hz crossover point, signal alignment, response equalization
and protection from overload damage.


CEFR64-1, CEFR94-1 & CEFR125-1 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz (CEFR64-1) (CEFR94-1) 
(CEFR125-1) or approved equal full-range, 2-way
loudspeaker system utilizing CoEntrant Waveguide Technology. 
It shall provide true point source performance with natural
signal alignment and constant "Q" through the crossover
region. Horn-within-a-horn coaxial speakers and conventional
2-way loudspeaker systems will not be considered as equal.

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual 6.5" carbon
fiber cone MF drivers and an extended range 1" HF driver
coupled to a single low/high frequency horn.  The
loudspeaker shall provide closely controlled (60  H by 40 
V) (90  H by 40  V) (120  H by  50  asymmetrical,+20  & -
30  V) coverage.  Its high frequency power handling capacity
shall be no less than 100 watts @ 8 ohms; lows shall have a
200 watt @ 8 ohms rating.  Sensitivity shall be no less than
(101) (100) (99) dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of
at least (124) (123) (122) dB.  The frequency response shall
be 80 Hz to 18 kHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall be (black paint)
(white paint) (natural) (weather resistant).  Connectors shall
be 4-pin Neutrik.  

The loudspeaker shall be no larger than (16 1/4" H x 21" W x
23 3/4" D) (16 1/4" H x 19 1/2" W x 19 1/8" D)  (16 1/4" H x
19 1/2" W x 19 1/8" D).  It shall weigh no more than 50 Lbs. 
A matching perforated metal grille shall be included.  [The
enclosure shall be equipped with (universal mounting
hardware providing a minimum of 12 attachment points) (a
minimum of 3 fly-points).] 

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz (X12) (X24) or approved
equal.  The controller shall provide a fixed 3rd order, 18
dB per octave crossover at 2.2 kHz, parametric equalizers
for loudspeaker response smoothing and complete protection
from overload damage.


CEMH64-1, CEMH94-1, CELF12-2, CELF64-1, CELF94-1
SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz Model (CEMH64-1)
(CEMH94-1) or approved equal 2-way mid/high loudspeaker system
utilizing CoEntrant Waveguide Technology.  Horn-within-a-horn
coaxial speakers and conventional 2-way loudspeaker systems
will not be considered as equal.

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual 6.5" carbon
fiber cone MF drivers and dual, extended range 1" HF drivers
coupled to a single mid/hi frequency horn .  The speaker
shall provide closely controlled (60 ) (90 ) horizontal by
40  vertical coverage.  Its high frequency power handling
capacity shall be no less than 200 w @ 8 ohms; mids shall
have a 260 w @ 8 ohms rating.  Sensitivity shall be no less
than (105) (104) dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of
at least (132) (131) dB and a frequency response of 250 Hz
to 18 kHz.

A matching horn-loaded, low-frequency enclosure, Renkus-Heinz 
(CELF64-1) (CELF94-1) (CELF12-2) or approved equal
shall also be provided. It shall have a (700 watts at 8
ohms) (700 watts at 8 ohms) (1400 watts at 4 ohms) power
rating and deliver an output SPL of (127 dB) (127 dB) (128
dB) from 60 to 1250 Hz.

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall be (black paint)
(white paint) (natural) (weather resistant).  Connectors
shall be (4-pin Neutrik) (screw terminals).   The
loudspeaker shall be no larger than 16 1/4" high, 21" wide
and 23 1/4" deep. It shall weigh no more than 50 Lbs.  A
matching perforated metal grille shall be included.  [The
enclosure shall be equipped with (universal mounting
hardware providing a minimum of 12 attachment points) (a
minimum of 3 fly-points).] 

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz X14 or approved equal. 
The controller shall provide a fixed crossover point at 2.2
kHz, response equalization and protection from overload
damage.


CEMH95-1, CEMH125-1 & CELF12-1 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz (CEMH95-1) (CEMH125-1) 
or approved equal 2-way loudspeaker system utilizing
CoEntrant Waveguide Technology.  It shall provide true point
source performance with natural signal alignment and
constant "Q" through the crossover region.  

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual 6.5" carbon
fiber cone MF drivers and dual extended range 1" HF drivers
coupled to a single mid/high frequency horn.  The
loudspeaker shall provide closely controlled (90) (120)
horizontal dispersion and 50  asymmetrical (+20  & - 30 )
vertical coverage.  Its high frequency power handling
capacity shall be no less than 200 watts @ 8 ohms; mids
shall have a 260 watt @ 8 ohms rating.  Sensitivity shall be
no less than (104) (103)dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous
SPL of at least (131) (130) dB.  The frequency response
shall be 250 Hz to 18 kHz.

A matching 12" low frequency enclosure, Renkus-Heinz CELF12-1 
or approved equal shall also be provided.  It shall have a
700 watts at 8 ohms continous program power rating and
deliver an output SPL of 123 dB from 60 to 250 Hz.

The enclosures shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall be (black paint)
(white paint) (natural) (weather resistant).  Connectors
shall be (4-pin Neutrik) (screw terminals).  The
loudspeakers shall be no larger than 16 1/4"  high, 19 1/2"
wide and19 1/8" deep and shall weigh no more than 54 Lbs.  A
matching perforated metal grille shall be included.  [The
enclosures shall be equipped with (universal mounting
hardware providing a minimum of 12 attachment points) (fly
points).] 

The loudspeakers shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz X14 or approved equal. 
The controller shall provide a fixed 3rd order, 18 dB per

CEMH61-5A SPECIFICATIONS

The long-throw loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz Model
CEMH61-5A or approved equal CoEntrant system offering true
point source performance. 

The loudspeaker system shall consist of ten 6.5" carbon
fiber cone MF drivers and ten extended-range 1" HF drivers
coupled to a single mid/high frequency horn, all mounted in
a 20  trapezoidal enclosure.  The loudspeaker shall provide
60  horizontal by 10  vertical coverage.

The loudspeaker's high frequency power handling capacity
shall be no less than 1000 w (5 times 200 w at 8 ohms), mids
1300 w (5 times 260 w at 8 ohms).  Sensitivity shall be no
less than 105 dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of at
least 144 dB and a frequency response of 250 Hz to 18 kHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from 13 ply birch, heavily braced and lined with fiberglass
to suppress resonances.  It shall be no larger than 48 3/4" 
high and 23 3/4" wide, be no deeper than 31 1/2", and weigh
no more than 260 Lbs.  A matching perforated metal grille
backed with protective foam shall be included.  The finish
shall be (black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).  Five  4-pin Neutrik connectors shall be
included.  [The enclosure shall be equipped with (universal
mounting hardware offering 12 attachment points) (a minimum
of 3 fly points).]

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an
associated controller, Renkus-Heinz Model X14 or approved
equal.  The controller shall provide fixed crossover points
at 250 Hz and 2.2 kHz, response equalization and protection
from overload damage.


CE64T, CE94T & CE125T SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz Model (CE64T)
(CE94T) (CE125T) or approved equal 3-way CoEntrant system
offering true point source performance. 

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual 6.5" carbon-fiber 
cone MF drivers, dual extended-range 1" HF drivers
coupled to a single mid/high frequency horn and dual horn
loaded 12" woofers, all mounted in a 20  trapezoidal
enclosure.  Theloudspeaker shall provide (60  H x 40  V)
(90  H x 40  V) (120  H x 50  asymmetrical +20  & -30  V)
coverage.  

The loudspeakers high frequency, continous program, power
handling capacity shall be no less than 200 w @ 8 ohms, mids
440 w @ 8 ohms and lows 1400 w (2 x 700 @ 8 ohms). 
Sensitivity shall be no less than (105) (104) (103) dB @
1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of at least (132) (131)
(130 dB and a frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 kHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from 13 ply birch, heavily braced and lined with fiberglass to
suppress resonances.  It shall be no larger than 32.5"  high
and 21" wide, be no deeper than 23.75", and weigh no more than
175 Lbs.  A matching perforated metal grille backed with
protective foam shall be included.   The finish shall be
(black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather resistant). 
Connectors shall be (8-pin Neutrik) (screw type terminal
strips). [The enclosure shall be equipped with (universal
mounting hardware offering 12 3/8"-16 attachment points) (a
minimum of 3 fly points).] 

[Optional, use for passive mid/high crosover... The
loudspeaker shall also include a built-in mid/high frequency
crossover network.

The speaker system shall be designed for use with an 
Renkus-Heinz (           ) controller.  The controller shall
provide fixed crossover points, response equalization and
protection from overload damage.



CE-364 & C3-394 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz Model (CE-3 64) (CE-3
94) or approved equal 3-way CoEntrant system offering true
point source performance. 

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual 6.5" carbon
fiber cone MF drivers, dual extended-range 1" HF drivers
coupled to a single mid/high frequency horn and a horn
loaded 12" woofer, all mounted in a 20  trapezoidal
enclosure.  The speaker shall provide (60  x 40 ) (90  x
40 ) coverage.  

The loudspeakers high frequency, continous program, power
handling capacity shall be no less than 200 w @ 8 ohms, mids
260 w @ 8 ohms and lows 700 w @ 8 ohms.  Sensitivity shall
be no less than (105) (104) dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum
continuous SPL of at least (132) (131) dB and a frequency
response of 70 Hz to 18 kHz. 

The enclosure shall be trapezoidal in shape and constructed
from 13 ply birch, heavily braced and lined with fiberglass
to suppress resonances.  It shall be no larger than 32.5" 
high and 21" wide, be no deeper than 23.75", and weigh no
more than 150 Lbs.  A matching perforated metal grille
backed with protective foam shall be included.   The finish
shall be (black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).  Connectors shall be (8-pin Neutrik) (screw
