

SR SERIES COMPLEX CONIC LOUDSPEAKERS


OVERVIEW

SR Series loudspeakers offer "studio quality"
high SPL level performance from compact 2-way
loudspeaker systems.  They feature dual-trapezoidal 
cabinets, heavy duty woofers and the
revolutionary Complex Conic Waveguide Technology
recently developed by Renkus-Heinz.

Complex Conic Waveguide Technology combines the
best features of constant directivity and oval
horn designs in a complex conical waveguide that
provides superior pattern control, especially at
the higher frequencies.  The conical waveguide
also completely eliminates "pattern flip", a
phenomenon of constant directivity horns that
reverses the directional chacteristics at some
low frequency.  

The waveguide's smooth profiles also reduce high
frequency "fluttering" distortion and coloration. 
As a result, Complex Conic horns produce a far
more natural sound than any prior horn
technology.  The unique design of these horns
allows them to be rotated 90  within the cabinet
to permit horizontal mounting in low ceiling
applications.

The wide angle SR62H was developed specifically
for under-the-balcony use in theaters and
churches and other similar applications requiring
high performance and a low profile.  The SR62H is
only 7 1/2" high!  All other SR Series
loudspeakers feature a dual-trapezoidal cabinet
that allows them to be easily arrayed in either
a "tight pack" configuration or in wide angle
arrays. 


MODELS SR5/6 & SR5/9 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz (SR5/6)
(SR5/9)  or approved equal full-range, 2-way
loudspeaker system utilizing Complex Conic Horn
Technology.  Loudspeakers having conventional
constant beamwidth or oval horns will not be
considered equal.  

The loudspeaker system shall consist of a heavy duty 12"
woofer and dual, extended range 1" HF drivers coupled to
a single complex conic, high frequency horn. The 12"
woofer shall have a 4" VC, Kevlar reinforced cone and 700
watt continous program power rating.  High frequency
power handling capacity shall be no less than 200 watts @
8 ohms  The loudspeaker shall provide closely controlled
(60 ) (90 ) horizontal dispersion and 40  vertical
coverage.  Sensitivity shall be no less than 97 dB @
1w,1m with a maximum continuous SPL of at least 123 dB. 
The frequency response shall be 60 Hz to 18 kHz.

The enclosure shall be "dual-trapezoidal" in shape and
constructed from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall be 
(black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).  Connectors shall be (4-pin Neutrik) (screw
terminals).  The loudspeaker shall be no larger than 26
1/2"  high,14" wide and 16" deep. It shall weigh no more
than 73 Lbs.  A matching perforated metal grille shall be
included.  The enclosure shall be equipped with
(universal mounting hardware providing a minimum of 12
1/4-20 attachment points) (a minimum of 3 "fly points"). 

(Use only for loudspeakers having a built-in crossover -
- The loudspeaker shall include a built-in crossover
having a 400 watt at 8 ohm power rating.) 

(Use only for loudspeakers not having a built-in
crossover - - The speaker system shall be designed for
use with an associated controller, Renkus-Heinz (X12)
(X24) or approved equal.  The controller shall provide an
1200 Hz electronic crossover, parametric equalizers for
loudspeaker frequency response smoothing  and complete
protection from overload damage.) 


MODEL SR62H SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz model
SR62H or approved equal full-range, horizontal-mounting 
2-way loudspeaker system utilizing
Complex Conic Horn Technology.  Loudspeakers
having conventional constant beamwidth or oval
horns will not be considered equal.  

The loudspeaker system shall consist of dual heavy duty
6.5" woofers and an extended range 1" HF driver coupled
to a single complex conic, high frequency horn. The 6.5"
woofers shall have 2" VCs, carbon fiber cones and a
continous program power rating of at least 100 watts. 
High frequency power handling capacity shall be no less
than 100 watts @ 8 ohms  The loudspeaker shall provide
wide-angle 150  horizontal dispersion and 60  vertical
coverage. 
 
Sensitivity shall be no less than 91 dB @ 1w,1m with a
maximum continuous SPL of at least 114 dB.  The frequency
response shall be 100 Hz to 18 kHz.  The enclosure shall
be constructed from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall
be (black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).   Connectors shall be (4-pin Neutrik) (screw
terminals).

The loudspeaker shall be no larger than 7 1/2"  high, 20"
long and 9" deep. It shall weigh no more than 23 Lbs.  A
matching perforated metal grille shall be included.  The
enclosure shall be equipped with universal mounting
hardware providing a minimum of 12 1/4-20 attachment
points.  It shall also include a built-in crossover
having a power rating of 200 watts at 8 ohm.


MODELS SR81/9 & SR81/12 SPECIFICATIONS

The loudspeaker shall be a Renkus-Heinz (SR81/9)
(SR81/12)  or approved equal full-range, 2-way
loudspeaker system utilizing Complex Conic Horn
Technology.  Loudspeakers having conventional
constant beamwidth or oval horns will not be
considered equal.  

The loudspeaker system shall consist of a heavy duty 8"
woofer and an extended range 1" HF driver coupled to a
single complex conic, high frequency horn. The 8" woofer
shall have a 3" VC, carbon fiber cone and 350 watt power
rating.  High frequency power handling capacity shall be
no less than 100 watts @ 8 ohms  The loudspeaker shall
provide closely controlled (90 ) (120 ) horizontal
dispersion and 60  vertical coverage.  Sensitivity shall
be no less than 93 dB @ 1w,1m with a maximum continuous
SPL of at least 118 dB.  The frequency response shall be
65 Hz to 18 kHz.

The enclosure shall be "dual-trapezoidal" in shape and
constructed from multi-ply hardwood.  The finish shall be
(black paint) (white paint) (natural) (weather
resistant).  The loudspeaker shall be equipped with (4-pin 
Neutrik connectors) (screw terminals).  The
loudspeaker shall be no larger than 19 3/4"  high, 9 3/4"
wide and 12" deep. It shall weigh no more than 27 Lbs.  A
matching perforated metal grille shall be included.  (The
enclosure shall be equipped with universal mounting
hardware providing a minimum of 12 1/4-20 attachment
points.)

The loudspeaker shall include a built-in crossover having
a 300 watt at 8 ohm power rating.)

electronic crossover at 1.2 kHz, parametric equalizers
for loudspeaker frequency response smoothing and complete
